Only The Brave, Diesel´s owner Renzo Rosso's company, has acquired the totality of Italian fashion brand Marni. Under the new owners, brainchild brand of Consuelo Castiglioni will undertake a further expansion.

Three years after having acquired a majority stake in Marni, OTB has now the 100 percent of its capital. The Renzo Rosso holding owns and runs other fashion labels including Maison Margiela and Viktor &Rolf, as well as Diesel and manufacturer Staff International.

Back to 2013, OTB bought a 61 percent stake in the Milanese fashion house.

The company founded by Consuelo Castiglioni and her husband Gianni will be now led by OTB´s Ubaldo Minelli, although the Castiglionis will remain creative director and president.

“Marni represents a fundamental pillar of our group,” said Rosso about the acquisition, adding that it has “incredible potential for further development.”

Last year Marni marked its 20th birthday with 130 million euro in turnover, growing at double-digit speed over the twelve past months. Over the last months, Marni has boosted its men fashion offer, inked an eyewear deal with Marchon and expanded kidswear.

"It's the natural completion to the road embarked upon with the acquisition of the brand founded 20 years ago by Consuelo and Gianni Castiglioni," said OTB in a press release.
