Ross Stores Q2 revenues jump 9 percent

American off-price retailer Ross Stores said on Thursday its Q2 revenue for 2018 increased by 9 percent, while net earnings rose by 23.1 percent from the same period last year. For the six month period, the company's sales rose 9 percent to 7.3 billion dollars and net earning were 808 million dollars compared to 638 million dollars last year.

The company’s sales in Q2 2018 were 3.7 billion US dollars, up from 3.4 billion US dollars a year earlier. Net earnings increased to 389 million US dollars. The profit margin of the company increased to 10.4 percent compared to 9.2 percent a year ago.

Ross Stores Inc was founded in 1950 by Morris Ross and is based in Dublin, California, United States. The company operates Ross Dress for Less and DD’s Discount, off-price apparel and home fashion chains in the United States. It offers apparel, accessories, footwear, and home fashions up to 70 percent below regular prices.
