Shein UK revenue crosses 2.5 billion pounds as profits rise 18.5 percent

UK online fast fashion retailer Shein Distribution UK Limited, the UK subsidiary of Singapore-based Shein Group, has posted an 18.5 percent increase in annual net profits to 33.92 million pounds for the financial year ended December 31, 2025, up from 28.61 million pounds in 2024.

Turnover for the 12-month period climbed 25.9 percent to 2.58 billion pounds, compared to 2.05 billion pounds recorded in the previous year. Retail sales generated through its online platforms accounted for 2.56 billion pounds of total turnover, while intercompany income contributed 13.88 million pounds.

Operational milestones fuel market expansion

Gross profit grew 29.8 percent to 87.81 million pounds from 67.67 million pounds in 2024, despite cost of sales increasing to 2.49 billion pounds. Operating profit rose 27.9 percent to 39.06 million pounds, up from 30.53 million pounds the prior year, even as administrative expenses expanded from 13.4 million pounds to 27.03 million pounds. Pre-tax profit stood at 45.17 million pounds, compared to 38.25 million pounds in 2024, after net finance income contributed 6.11 million pounds.

The business highlighted several high-profile marketing activations during the year, including festival partnerships with Live Nation and Wireless festival, a pop-up shop on Oxford Street in London, and a four-city Christmas gifting campaign.

Headcount and operational footprint expand

Average employee numbers at Shein Distribution UK Limited increased to 113 people during 2025, up from 91 in 2024, driven primarily by an expansion of its UK sales and marketing staff from 68 to 92 employees.

The company also expanded its physical footprint across the UK. Operating under an operational control boundary, the retailer added a newly leased location in Manchester spanning 1,300 square metres at 54 Oldfield Road, supplementing its existing 1,242 square metre London office premises across Chatham Place and Ram Place.
