Online women’s fashion brand Sosandar PLC expects full year revenue for the year to March 31, 2018 to be around 1.34 million pounds (1.81 million dollars), with like for like sales for the six months to March 2018 showing a 268 percent increase against the prior year. Gross margin for the year is expected to be at 49.3 percent against 37.8 percent in FY2017. The company said, record monthly revenues were achieved in March 2018, and substantial momentum has continued into the new financial year.

Commenting on the trading update, Ali Hall and Julie Lavington, Joint CEOs, said in a media release: "It is particularly pleasing that we recorded our highest monthly sales figure in March 2018, which was subsequently beaten by a further 32 percent growth in April 2018, demonstrating that our business is less seasonal than peers. We are constantly refining the efficiency of our marketing spend, and beginning to benefit from improved margins as we increase our minimum order size. This momentum has continued into the new financial year, and we look forward to updating the market further at full year results."

This strong growth, Sosandar added, reflects the impact of the company's successful marketing campaigns, increased brand awareness and illustrates the benefits of the investment into a variety of new marketing channels, the most successful of which has been direct mail. The company saw its Facebook and Instagram followings increase by 181 percent and 888 percent respectively.
