Swim suits Victoria’s Secret well, as the swimwear sales are the ones soaring the most at the lingerie company. Sales for swimsuits by the brand jumped more than 10 percent in the first quarter.

This increase is actually the double of that overall sales increase of five percent, CEO Sharen Jester Turney told investors on a recent conference call.

In this regard, Morgan Stanley points out in a recent research that its Sports line’s annual sales rocketed from null to something between 200 and 250 million dollars over barely a couple of years.

The private bank analysts likewise predict the brand could eventually grow to 1 billion dollars, with Victoria’s Secret taking the Sport line to 150 more stores this spring.

“We’re very excited and very pleased with our sport business, especially in our bra category,” CEO Sharen Jester Turney told investors. “That’s where we’ve been putting a lot of our emphasis and seeing tremendous growth.”

It is noteworthy that the brand controls 35 percent of the US lingerie market, reports Business Insider.
