Yoox Net-a-Porter Group slated to open West London Tech Hub

London - Online luxury retailer giant, Yoox-Net-a-Porter Group (YNAP), is set to open it new technology hub at White City Place in West London next year, as the company aims to unify its UK-based technology teams in a single location.
Set to open its doors in March 2017, the new hub sees YNAP's CEO Federico Marchetti fulfill his pledge to strengthen the company's team in London as part of its Five Year Plan. The new hub, which follows on from YNAP's partnership with IBM, sees the luxury retail invest in developing "best-in-class facilities designed to accommodate growth, maximizing innovation and collaboration across the teams," according to a statement from YNAP.

The new tech hub, designed by award-winning British architecture firm Grimshaw, is set to featured an innovative interior design which sees up to a quarter of available surface space dedicated to adaptive space. The hub's interior will also consist of flexible features created to match the evolving needs of YNAP, with special attention given to creative and collaborative ways of working to support seamless operations the Bologna-based tech team and other parts of the global business.

The West London hub is also set to count for the planned 20 percent increase in YNAP's global technology team, which consists of 1000 employees spread through the UK and Italy. YNAP aims to oversee a "mobile-centric culture" at its new hub, giving engineers the freedom to create best-in-class technology solutions,and speeding up YN AP 's R&D and release of the next wave of developments including yet-to-be-released technological breakthroughs.
