Zumiez April net sales up 2.4 percent

Zumiez total net sales for the four-week period ended May 2, 2015 increased 2.4 percent to 51.8 million dollars, compared to 50.6 million dollars for the four-week period, ended May 3, 2014. The company's comparable sales decreased 4 percent compared to a comparable sales increase of 8.2 percent in the year ago period.

Zumiez is a retailer of action sports related apparel, footwear, equipment and accessories, focusing on skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, motocross and BMX for young men and women. As of May 2, 2015, it operated 616 stores, including 557 in the United States, 37 in Canada, and 22 in Europe.
