Fashion for Good has opened the doors of a new exhibition called 'Knowing Cotton Otherwise', which highlights the rich history behind what is perhaps the world’s most well-known fabric.

The exhibition highlights the relationship between cotton and the fashion industry; the role of cotton in an increasingly tightly woven web of global cultures; and sustainable innovations driving circular transformation within the cotton industry.

The exhibition “sits at the intersection of fashion, art, and social change”, Fashion for Good said in a release.

'Knowing Cotton Otherwise' is open to the public from Friday October 7, and will be on display for a whole year at Fashion for Good in Amsterdam.

It will be showcased in various phases as it grows and develops throughout the year, with local artists invited to present work that connects to the different themes within the story of cotton.
