Showcasing over 1600 brands from across the world, a full-blown trend forum and a number of events and festivities, the Parisian fashion trade shows Who's Next and Première Class drew in a huge crowd this past weekend. FashionUnited attended the fashion trade shows and shares its experience through photos and videos below.

Running from September 2 to 5, womenswear trade show Who's Next and accessories trade fair Première Classe took place at the Porte de Versailles, in Paris.

From the 1600 fashion and accessory brands exhibiting their latest collections, 486 names were new comers to the trade shows, presenting their spring/summer 2017 collections. The 700 ready-to-wear womenswear brands showing were divided into 5 segments: Fame, Private, Urban, Trendy and Studio. See our 30 second impression of what the trade show was like below.

The trend forum ‘Modern Manifest’ welcomed trade fair visitors by the entrance of the event.

The atmosphere at the trade fairs was calm, relaxed and almost holiday like thanks to the large number of young creative brands present, as well as the cafes, stores and bars presence, reported our French correspondent. However, in spite of the chilled vibe, casual business was certainly being done.

During the opening night of the trade fair, 30 brands came together to develop an outdoor programme named: The Future of Fashion, which featured live music from Girls, Girls, Girls, L’Impératrice and Get a room.

Who’s Next takes place twice a year at the conference center Porte de Versailles. The French womenswear trade fair, which was founded over 20 years ago, sees over 50,000 visitors, including buyers and journalists, attending from over 100 countries across the globe every edition.
