The Copenhagen trade shows, CIFF, CIFF Raven, CIFF Kids and Revolver, have agreed on a unified date for their spring/summer 2016 editions, all will take place from Wednesday, August 5 to Friday, August 7, alongside Copenhagen Fashion Week.

The news comes as Copenhagen’s largest trade show CIFF confirmed that it will shorten its usual four-day event to three to sit with the other events, in addition it has announced that it will expand for its spring/summer 2016 edition, with a focus on the premium unisex area Lab, womenswear section Sleek and streetwear and denim area Urban.

CIFF Raven, the menswear trade show that launched in January at Copenhagen’s Forum arena, will also move to the Bellacenter, however, CIFF has stated that the area will still be representing its “very own unique universe”, with a focus on a curated menswear and lifestyle community that brings together fashion, design, art and culture.

CIFF Kids will continue to run simultaneously in Forum Copenhagen.

Mads Emil Møller, CIFF communications manager, said: “We look forward to an exciting season this August at CIFF, with further improvements of our fair’s build-up in the iconic high quality and beautiful design, that our exhibitors and visitors have come to expect at CIFF.

“Also we are happy to have CIFF Raven in the same destination, as the creative vibe from the CIFF Raven community positively adds to the total experience at the fair.”

The trade show organisers added that the longer-term plans for CIFF include collaborations with design, furniture and lifestyle show Northmodern, international art fair Art Copenhagen and the addition of a performance clothing area, all to be showcased under the CIFF umbrella.

Revolver has also confirmed that it will build a “Revolver village” in the Meatpacking District, which will feature four exhibition spaces all within walking distance, to make it easier for press and buyers to view its collections.

Christian Maibom, founder and creative director of Revolver, explains: “We have to face the fact that time is today the most valuable resource. For this reason we need to be even more precise both in terms of content and constellation. Thereby we make it as easy and less time-consuming for the buyers to navigate and do their business.”

In addition to the trade show, they will also host Revolver Showrooms, comprising separate showrooms for agents and brands to exhibit.
