New York - Florence-based trade producer Pitti Immagine's portal E-Pitti will be launching a new service for exhibitors. The company has announced that E-Pitti will be launching a mobile app for wholesale orders. Starting with the next Pitti Uomo trade show, running from January 12 to 15, companies showcasing their apparel will be able to purchase an App developed by E-Pitti allowing them to collect orders through an Ipad.
“Small-medium companies are our main clients and most of them don’t have budgets to invest on the digital,” said Fiera Digitale CEO Francesco Bottigliero to WWD. Bottigliero also highlighted that many companies still collect orders by hand or through excel files. “Through this software, they will be also able to satisfy the requests coming from those international clients asking for digital receipts of their orders.”
With mobile and digital commerce taking over the retail industry, this is a smart move on Pitti Immagine's part. Wholesale orders will certainly be more effective, and tradeshows will be able to run more effectively.
