Moda has shut its doors after three successful days of trading, which saw the fashion trade fair continue to strengthen its position as one of the UK’s industry key order-writing events. With over 1450 brands from across women’s wear, accessories, mens’s wear, footwear, lingerie and swimwear, Moda is the UK’s largest fashion buying event.

Taking place once more at Birmingham’s convention centre the NEC, Moda welcomed buyers and exhibitors alike which represented the industry’s full spectrum from August 7 to 9. This season saw Moda continue to build upon the momentum it create last season, when it launched a reorganised layout and present its new look show for its Spring/Summer 2017 edition, which was hailed as a success.

“This is our main order-writing show and, although I have been exhibiting for many years, this season has really surpassed my expectations,” commented Stuart Robinson, director at Accessories by Park Lane in a statement. “We have launched a new collection here at Moda Accessories and the reaction has been overwhelming; the stand has been mobbed all day. It's fantastic to be able to meet so many different types of buyers from boutiques to gift stores, all of which are business-focused and serious about buying into the collection.” Similar sentiments were echoed across numerous brands showing across Moda’s five sectors.

The launch of Moda new Active area within its Lingerie & Swimwear sector was also seen as a success. The new area hosted a range of dedicated collections from brands including Acai Activewear and Björn Borg, as well as sports diffusion lines such as Freya Active and Anita Active.
