Italy's top fashion institutions, Altagamma, Sistema Moda Italia, AltaRoma and Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, where invited to attend a meeting in Milan held by Carlo Calenda, the Vice-Minister of Economic Development, along with several organisers.

The meeting, which was held at the Italian Agency for Outside Trade offices and not open to the public, was organized to initiate preliminary talks between the fashion institutions on developing a new trade fair in Milan, which would be for the entire fashion industry. The new event would aim to bring together Made in Italy fashion and accessories brands under one single, large event.

This future trade fair would then take place at the FieraMilano, in Rho pavilions alongside with Milan Fashion Week, reports Fashionmag.com. More details on the future fashion event are set to be revealed over the next coming weeks.
