Premium Group is expanding its fashion reach in the trade fair circuit. The fashion trade show organiser is set to take over Bright, the trade event for streetwear and sportswear.

The owner of Premium, Seek and Premium Order, aims to combine Bright with Seek to form the new hub for progressive men's fashion in Berlin. Premium Group is also set to acquire shares from Bright founders Marco Aslin and Thomas Martini, but will keep the duo on board as Managing Directors with a creative influence over the trade show's future. Addition details for the deal were not revealed.

"We are delighted about the merger with Premium and Seek," said Thomas Martini, managing director at Bright. "In addition to the personal connections it brings, the group provides the necessary support to develop Bright, in close collaboration with Seek, into the leading European trade show platform for sports and streetwear. It was important to us to find a strong partner that would support our character and our individuality. Bright will remained unchanged in terms of perception and content. The event's familiar atmosphere and authentic charm will remain intact."

Bright and Seek were presented next to each other for the first time this season, exhibiting a total of 600 brands at the Berlin Arena. The two shows will continue to run at the same time, in the same location and will be expanded in the future in order to provide an even more attractive offering to both local and international buyers. But both trade fair concepts will remain separate and independent from one another in terms of content and brands exhibiting, with each trade fair keeping its unique appeal.
