Copenhagen trade show Revolver has experienced a “remarkable rise” in visitors for its February edition, which according to show organisers has not been seen since the “heydays in the early noughties”.

The show, which took place from February 3 to 5, had more than a 20 percent increase in pre-registered visitors compared to its August Edition in 2015, which has contributed to the high numbers of buyers visiting. The show has also received “astounding” feedback from both exhibiting brands and buyers, according to organisers.

Christian Maibom, creative director and founder of Revolver said: “Brand new initiatives such as our Revolver App, which helped visitors find exhibiting brands quickly and easy was a new tool that was truly beneficial to our visitors. The app solution, that supersedes the traditional printed catalogue, was an initiative that our visiting buyers found highly satisfactory.

“Moving forward, the pre-registration process will happen through our app, hence the digitalisation process which the development and the business requires has only just begun.”

Brands that featured included 2nd Day, Aquascutum, BLK DNM, Cheap Monday, Free People, Peter Jensen, Sam Edelman, Sandqvist, Scotch and Soda, Vagabond, and Woolwich.

In order to further boost the trade show, which mainly focuses on Scandinavian design-driven fashion brands across menswear and womenswear, the organisers have also appointed a London-based PR agency, Sane Communications, to increase international awareness of the show and Scandinavian fashion.

As part of its strategy to increase its international appeal, Revolver are collaborating with White Show in Milan to curate a Scandinavian area for the Italian trade show, starting in June 2016.

Maibom added: “When Revolver in August 2016 comes around, we will have finalised our transformational phase of establishing a new destination in a new venue while adapting the traditional tradeshow concept to the demands of the future – it’ll be great.”

The next Revolver Trade Show will take place from August 10 to 12 in Copenhagen.
