Textile Forum, London’s fabric and sourcing show, is set to host its biggest exhibition for its autumn edition in October.

Running from October 14 to 15, the autumn issue will feature 20 percent more brands, across two floors at its One Marylebone location, making it the event’s largest exhibition in 13 years.

The increase in space will be used to host a bigger selection of fabrics for men’s outerwear as well as offer more choice for daywear, stating the show’s co-founder and organiser Linda Laderman in a statement.

Laderman said: “While Textile Forum has traditionally been particularly strong on womenswear fabrics, especially those for occasion and bridal wear, this autumn we will be balancing these collections with a bigger selection of fabrics for men’s outwear and more choice for daywear.”

Dashing Tweeds, best known for its innovative urban wovens, and Dugdale Bros & Co, the last remaining cloth merchant in Huddersfield, will be showing for the first-time alongside regular exhibitors Hainsworth and Holland & Sherry. In addition, The Wool Lab, which collaborates with the world’s most innovative and quality-oriented spinners and weavers, is returning with samples of fabrics in line with the leading fashion and textile trends, as is British Alpaca Fashion Company.

Other first-timers include Hantex, who will be showcasing a range of jersey, baby cord, canvas and batiks, while A-Tex, a leading global provider of brand identity products, will exhibit its packaging solutions, hang tags, labels and in-store visual merchandising.
