British online fashion retailer Boohoo.com is set to launch its first sportswear range early next year, after the success of its plus-size range and menswear collections.
Appropriately named 'BoohooFit', the athletic wear collection covers both menswear and womenswear and comprises of 40 to 50 garments, featuring bold patterns, mesh inserts and transparent layers. Prices at set to begin as low as 8 pounds for the range.
“We have always strived to offer our customer the latest statement pieces at affordable prices, so creating a sportswear label within the Boohoo brand was a natural progression,” said Caroline Evans, design director at Boohoo, to Drapers.
“This is the ultimate fitness collection, delivering iconic shapes in sports inspired fabrications, mixed with a fashion-edge. Staple items include wind-breakers, tennis dresses, sport polos, tracksuits and ultra-lightweight jog pants to provide that complete head-to-toe look."
The sportswear range will launch in time for Spring '15, next January.
