The Puffa Rework

Classic cocooning winter puffas are given a feminine twist as padded and quilted fabrics are remade to flatter the female form. Silhouettes retain their volume but come in lighter weights for a floaty effect or cinched to create an hourglass shape. Matte finishes, hanky hems, lace embossing and frilled edge collars introduce a girlish contrast to previously outdoor sport aesthetics.

The Great Outdoors

Getting back to nature and braving the elements inspired a host of elevated outerwear options and cold weather styling. Outward bound-inspired graphic knits and rain macs were teamed with matching bed rolls, woollen beanies, bungee cord trims and rubberised bucket hats. Carrying the theme into footwear, many designers teamed their collections with Wellington-like long boots.

Soft and Supple Leathers

A key material for FW20-21, leathers featured heavily across the Copenhagen collections. Supple, lightweight, unlined skins create feminine silhouettes that cling to the body or add volume via soft ruched or puffed sleeves. Subtle polished shine enhances the luxury appeal of clean lined dresses with unexpected contrast elements coming from colour pop leather accessories or mixed fabric detailing.
