Giles Deacon for Lee Cooper

2008 is the century of Lee Cooper. The fine English denim label celebrates its 100th anniversary and launched the Project 100. The British denim brand teamed up with various designers including Giles Deacon.
For the Project, Deacon designed a unique denim dress. The garment is made out of a bio-denim supplied by Italdenim and features a Swarovski crucifix with smiley face detail at the neck. The dress stands out with its medieval styling details - a high-necked collar and puffed sleeves. The iconic smiley has been produced by Alain D'if, a sculptor who has worked with Thierry Mugler and Givenchy.
Deacon's sketch will be auctioned alongside the actual dress for the Red Cross at Parisian auction house, Drouot Montaigne, this autumn. The auction house will exhibit the collection three days prior to the event.
