THE BSTIM EUROPEAN TEXTILE FAIR HAS HELD ITS 4TH EDITION AT THE OLD SLAUGHTERHOUSE BUILDING IN IGUALADA

=> BSTIM has brought together about sixty manufacturing companies with buyers from different European countries

=> The number of visitors from the previous years still prevails, over a thousand from all around

Thursday 7th March- The fourth edition of the textile fair BSTIM (Best Solutions in Textile Manufacturing) has closed today after two days of intense activity having reached its marked targets: bringing the sixty exhibiting companies of the textile sector together with more than a thousand buyers from international brands, big distributors and designers interested in finding suppliers of proximity. Some of these buyers come from England, France, Belgium, Mexico, Morocco, Italy and Germany, which consolidates BSTIM as an international event. Apart from professionals, about 20% of the visitors were students from several fashion schools from all the country.

The textile fair BSTIM is organized by Fira d’Igualada, the textile group Fagepi and the city Council of Igualada and is the only fair for the textile production in Spain.Its aim is to make the potential of the textile production of the country known and encourage big brands to manufacture here what they had been manufacturing in Asia.Among the advantages of manufacturing in proximity are the possibility of shorter series, personalized designs, rapidity delivering the finished pieces and avoiding stocks and financial costs.Besides, the companies also value the fact of establishing a relationship of longlasting confidence with the supplier which contributes to the development of the products of the brand.

The organization takes stock positively both for the diversity of the exhibiting companies that covered the 1800 square meters at the old slaughterhouse building and the quality of the visitors with a marked professional profile.Therefore it is to be expected that the contacts established during the two days of the fair will become orders the following months because the dynamics of seasons by collections characterizes the sector and makes the consolidation of commercial agreements cristallize months after each season.

The organizers are also satisfied for the impact of the topic of digital transformation in the fair, lead by numerous companies from the technological area that have attended BSTIM for the first time such as computer software, e-commerce, digital printing or 3D manufacturing. Sustainable brands have also caught the interest of visitors.Thanks to this, the fair has also been able to reflect its challenges and hopes for the future of the sector that is taking its chances for digitalization and sustainability.

BSTIM textile fair(Best Solutions in Textile Manufacturing) is the only textile fair in Spain and its aims are promoting the textile manufacturing of proximity and strengthening the local industry.It is organized by Fira d'Igualada and the textile group FAGEPI with the support of the city Council of Igualada and is held every two years .The fourth edition has been held on 6th and 7th March 2019 in Igualada.
