According to a press release, French brand Sessùn is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year with a project that includes an exhibition, an anniversary book, a pop-up shop, and installations across several of its Parisian locations. Founded in 1996, the house will take over the Galerie Joseph at 7 rue Froissart in Paris from September 11 to 18, 2026, during Paris Design Week.

The exhibition will feature 30 reinterpretations of the “Divine”, the brand's iconic bag, created by an international community of artists, designers, and artisans. It will also showcase the work of the 20 finalists of the Sessùn Craft Prize, also known as the Creative Blossoming Prize. The scenography was designed by Marion Mailaender in collaboration with Jeanne Tresvaux du Fraval.

A book, a pop-up café and a programme of workshops

Throughout the exhibition, the gallery will also host a space inspired by museum shops. It will offer a selection of objects created for the anniversary and launch a book chronicling the brand's 30 years, designed as an alphabet book in collaboration with Emmanuelle Oddo. A pop-up café by Léonie, a Parisian artisanal bakery founded by Kamel Saci, will be set up on-site. This will be alongside a programme of talks, workshops, and demonstrations focused on craftsmanship. Five workshops are scheduled between September 14 and 18. These will be dedicated to wooden jewellery with Maya Rozier; textile weaving with Margot Graziani; wool weaving with Annabelle Jouot; paper flower making with Margaux Dereume; and ceramics with Léa Baldassari.

An international competition centred on the Divine bag

The Sessùn Craft Prize was established in 2023 as an international competition to support emerging creators in contemporary craftsmanship. For this fourth edition, participants were invited to reinterpret the Divine bag, retaining only its original dimensions and volume. This allowed for a wide freedom of materials and techniques. The jury, which includes Virginie Benarroch, Isis Combréas Colombe, Gabriel Escamez, and Thomas Roger, selected 20 projects. These were produced with Sessùn's support and will be presented at the exhibition. Three winners will be announced in September.

Six Parisian locations join the official trail

In parallel, six Sessùn locations will join the official Paris Design Week trail from September 10 to 19. Each will host an exhibition dedicated to a creator aligned with the brand's universe, with the works available for sale. The new Francs Bourgeois boutique, designed by Cobalto Studio and dedicated entirely to leather goods and accessories, will feature mirrors and furniture by interior architect Frédéric Imbert. The Bachaumont location will host ceramicist Pascale Zintzen (Oikos Studio); Charonne will feature an exhibition of the Ezia lamps designed by Sessùn; Guichard will welcome ceramicist and interior architect Guylène Galantine; Legendre will present multidisciplinary artist Camille Longuepee; and Pont aux Choux will showcase designer and cabinetmaker Benjamin Fély.
