The British Fashion Council (BFC) is delighted to release the programme of events for its City Wide Celebration, taking place from Friday 17th to Tuesday 21st February during London Fashion Week (LFW) February 2023. Get involved with an exciting programme of events and activations from brands, restaurants and cultural institutions running alongside the LFW show schedule.
Open to the public and continually showcasing the incredible creativity and innovation of London, City Wide Celebration will offer over 450 events in renowned shopping destinations such as Chelsea, Oxford Street, Covent Garden, and Regent Street. Participating brands include Anya Hindmarch, Browns, Fiorucci, MATCHESFASHION, Peter Jones, Selfridges and many more. Activations range from creative workshops and panel discussions to promotions, collection previews, styling sessions and designer Q&As.
British fashion will accentuate the week. Enjoy a drink and browse through BFC NEWGEN recipient LABRUM’s immersive retail space, discover Anya Hindmarch’s World’s Smallest Department Store, an exclusive exhibition and evening talk at Jigsaw, and special promotions at Helen Anthony’s O2 arena store.
For a refreshing sustainability focus, explore Anciela’s interactive fashion installation made with textile waste which promotes ways of upcycling. City goers will also find a host of incredible archive, upcycled, or hand made pieces at Peter Jones, River Island, Rosamund Muir and Studio Noirgaze.
Enjoy events ranging from a flower drawing class at Shaku and candle making at French Connection, to lively DJ sets at Vinti Andrews and AllSaints, and a spring shopping party involving music and drinks at Free People.
Food enthusiasts will meet their match across London, with an exclusive pop up cafe at MATCHESFASHION, complimentary champagne at Franco’s and Pastaio, and limited edition LFW menus at STK Steakhouse and Poke House among others.
