Calvin Klein Collection continues its 'American minimalism' exploration for spring 2027

US fashion house Calvin Klein presented the Collection spring 2027 runway show on September 11, 2026, at Terminal Warehouse in New York City. The show, staged by creative director Veronica Leoni, extends the label's ongoing exploration of what the brand terms American minimalism.

"American minimalism was a discipline of removal: take away everything that does not carry the work, until only what is necessary remains," Leoni said. "Calvin drew from that and turned it toward the body. I turn it toward the woman inside it. My minimalism begins there, in the relation between design and a body, with nothing in between. Take everything away. What is left is desire."

The collection builds on the house's foundational pieces, including the coat, the shirt, tailoring, the trouser, the pencil skirt and the slip, in proportions that run longer and narrower or are cinched at the waist. Tailoring appears thin and crisp in cotton and lightweight wool, including a slim three-button cotton suit and a broader-shouldered jacket designed for layering. Slip and t-shirt dresses are cut as full bias evening dresses.

Extra-fine silk knit tees and colour-blocked baseball shirts in silk cady sit alongside denim, leather and laser-cut suede, referencing the house's sportswear roots. The palette spans white and black with scarlet, bright yellow, royal blue, cherry and light citron, alongside a check the brand says draws on Georgia O'Keeffe's wardrobe. Accessories include metal headbands, pointed scarves and enlarged, triangular bags in structural or slouchy finishes.

The show took place inside Terminal Warehouse, a block-long brick building completed in 1891 to a design by George B. Mallory. Three floor sculptures by Walter De Maria were installed along the runway, allowing guests to move among them, while a soundtrack by Kid Harpoon featured Laurie Anderson and Solange.

Guests at the show included Rosalía, Teyana Taylor, Sadie Sink and Pamela Anderson, among a wider group of entertainers and industry figures dressed in Calvin Klein Collection and other lines from the brand.
