The LYCRA Company presents its latest innovations at the Dornbirn Global Fiber Congress
The LYCRA Company, a global leader in developing fibre and technology solutions for the apparel and personal care industries, will return to the 65th Dornbirn Global Fiber Congress 2026 as a Silver Sponsor. The event takes place from September 16 to 18. Two of its scientists will speak at the leading international forum for fibre innovation, held in Dornbirn, Austria.
“From fibre recycling to systemic change – Deploying circular solutions on a global scale”
Hall C, Wednesday, September 16 at 5:35pm (CET)
Alberto Ceria, technical product manager at The LYCRA Company, will share his expertise on the company's textile-to-textile platform. This systemic circularity initiative is designed to transform elastane—wrongly considered a barrier to circularity—into a valuable, high-value resource. The platform is founded on collaboration between recyclers, spinners, brands and technology developers. It is also compatible with mechanical, chemical, enzymatic and emerging recycling technologies, offering a scalable framework to advance textile-to-textile circularity.
“Rethinking sweat visibility”
Hall B, Thursday, September 17 at 5:10pm (CET)
Nicholas Kurland, director of product development – advanced concepts at The LYCRA Company, will lead a session on the development of COOLMAX CloakFX™ fibre.
Launched earlier this year and now commercially available, this innovation minimises sweat visibility on fabrics and provides moisture management for improved thermal comfort. The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified fibre is now made from 100 percent recycled polyester, offering brands a solution that delivers both sustainable comfort and performance while helping to reduce environmental impact.
“The presentations at Dornbirn illustrate two major priorities for our industry: advancing circularity and offering meaningful innovations for consumers,” said Alistair Williamson, vice president, sustainable product development. “We are excited to share our latest advancements and collaborate with global industry players to advance tomorrow's solutions through science and product development.”
