Zalando and Samsøe Samsøe launch 'Summer in the City' capsule collection

Online fashion platform Zalando has launched an exclusive unisex capsule collection with Danish brand Samsøe Samsøe, called 'Summer in the City'. The collection is designed for a flexible urban lifestyle and is available exclusively at Zalando across all its markets.
The capsule comprises 12 garments built for warm city days and evenings, combining Scandinavian tailoring with a street style aesthetic. The pieces include oversized blazers in grey melange with wide shoulders, paired with matching shorts or mini skirts; track cardigans with contrast-striped sleeves and wide cargo pants with adjustable drawstrings; and checked shirts, vintage-inspired T-shirts with embroidered logos, and denim with worn details. The color palette pairs deep earth tones with brighter summer shades, including Delicioso Brown, Windsurfer Light Blue, Haute Red, Grey Melange and Clear Cream.
"'Summer in the City' is inspired by the feeling of spending summer in Scandinavia, where life naturally moves outdoors and the days continue into the evening. We wanted to create a wardrobe that feels effortless and versatile, with pieces that work through different parts of the day without feeling too styled," said Marley Roosen, head of womenswear design at Samsøe Samsøe.
The accompanying campaign was shot on the streets of Copenhagen, capturing everyday routines and summer rituals to reflect the rhythm of Nordic city life.
The Corner at Way Out West
As part of the launch, Zalando is returning to Gothenburg for a second year with a physical activation called 'The Corner', set up during the Way Out West festival in Slottsskogen. Over the three days of the festival, the space will host live performances, including a set from artist Jalda; panel discussions and interviews with Swedish artist Daniela Rathana and emerging talent Killen; and a hub with surprise DJ sets, retro games and a curated library.
