Italian outerwear brand Stone Island is taking over The Corner Shop at Selfridges London from 21 September to 6 November 2026 for 'Selected Works '982-'026_Stone Island: The Collector Series', its first formal collaboration with the independent collectors who have shaped the brand's culture over four decades. The six-week installation brings together archive pieces from eight collectors and shops, including Arco Maher, Better Gift Shop and 194 Local, presented alongside the current collection and pieces made exclusively for Selfridges.

"Stone Island has never existed only through the garments we create. Its culture has also been shaped by the people who discover, wear, preserve and reinterpret them," said Robert Triefus, Stone Island's CEO and president. "The Collector Series brings those voices to the forefront, offering a unique perspective on the brand through the experiences and personal histories of collectors around the world."

The Corner Shop

The takeover space was designed by Willo Perron as an evolving structure of modular components that is reconfigured weekly alongside the rotating collector line-up. Vintage highlights on display include the 1993 reflective jacket and the 2007 David-TC sublimation print, tracing key material developments across the brand's history.

A selection of the current Stone Island collection will also be shown, including pieces made exclusively for Selfridges such as a hand-treated leather parka and a reflective-treatment denim jumpsuit, released across different weeks of the installation. The takeover coincides with the global launch of Stone Island No Seasons, reviving an outerwear project originally developed by Massimo Osti between 1989 and 1994, centred on a single silhouette produced in six fabrications, each garment-dyed in piombo grey.

"It is also about bringing our customers even closer to the world of Stone Island and strengthening the sense of community around the brand," said Bosse Myhr, director of buying at Selfridges.

Cultural programme

The installation is accompanied by a cultural programme, including the premiere of "Passport," a documentary by Glenn Kitson following Stone Island collectors across seven cities, and a panel discussion at Central Saint Martins with designers Paul Harvey and Aitor Throup alongside chairman Carlo Rivetti. Stone Island also returns as official partner of Frieze Focus during Frieze London, marking its twelfth year supporting the fair's emerging-artist programme.
