Kat Maconie to collaborate with Dune

Footwear retailer Dune is to collaborate with British footwear

designer Kat Maconie to create a capsule collection for spring/summer 2012. Following on from the success of the Olivia Rubin for Dune collection earlier this year, the retailer is continuing to support up-and-coming designers.

Kat Maconie, whose shoes fuse high fashion with design function are favoured by celebrities such as Sienna Miller and Rosie Huntington-Whitely. Her capsule line for the high street retailer comprises of three shoe designs and one clutch bag, with all pieces inspired by Miami Art Deco style and feature fan and metal-work detailing.

Each style is named after an iconic Ocean Drive hotel or bar including: celeb hang-out ‘Mynt’; private member’s club ‘Soho Beach House’; historic landmark ‘The Betsey’; and boutique hotel ‘The Shore Club’. The collection will be available from April with prices ranging from £75 to £135.
