Sports Direct sees growth

Fashion sporting goods company Sports Direct posted strong growth figures against high

comparatives for the 9 weeks to 25 March.

The retailer has not alluded to any space growth over the period; however it has opened around 10 new stores this financial year, which are likely to have contributed positively to sales growth.

Group and retail gross profit grew in the period by 13.5% and 15.1% respectively, a strong performance backed by a motivating generous bonus scheme.
