Karl-Heinz Müller, founder and managing director of Bread & Butter is not a quitter. But rather than chart the future of the Berlin-based trade fair himself, Müller has decided to leave it up to those who love (or hate) Bread & Butter to determine the future of the infamous fashion trade fair.

Coinciding with the start of Berlin Fashion Week and B&B's 'Back to the Street' show, the trade fair organization has set up an online voting poll asking visitors to either select "I want BBB" or "RIP BBB," to help decide whether or not the fair will return to its former location in Berlin from 2 to 4 July 2015 or not. The polls results will be announced in a few days time.

Theoretically, B&B has signed contracts with the Berlin Tempelhof Airport to show at the location until the summer of 2019. But the question remains: can Müller muster up enough exhibitors to show and attract sufficient visitors to continue funding future editions of B&B? Before the managing director launched his new concept, the 'guerilla' trade event named 'Brad & Butter: Back to the Streets,' he revealed he was struggling with the event's finances.

“I do not know how to finance it. I have received money from you all, but unfortunately it has already been spent, at least at this moment," he previously wrote in a letter, asking for support from his friends. "Maybe I'll find a patron, or something like that to fund it.” Last month also saw Müller file for bankruptcy, to help secure the shaky future of B&B.
