As of August 2010, Copenhagen Fashion Fairs will be celebrating summer with new opening hours and a shorter fair period for the upcoming fairs with the following dates & opening hours: 12th -14th August 2010 - Thursday-Friday 10 am-7pm and Saturday 10am-6pm. The decision was taken in collaboration with the other fashion fairs in Copenhagen with the aim to intensify business as well as attendance at the fair.

Supporting new talent
In line with great initiatives to support new talent, such as the design competition Designers' Nest, we are again proud to be a part of Dansk Fashion Awards to be held on May 12th and sponsor the New Talent Award with nominees like David Andersen, Ole Yde and Vilsbøl de Arce.

Furthermore, we are currently working on big international names to join our judging panel in the upcoming edition of Designers' Nest this August. We are happy to welcome Colin McDowell once more and to have the CEO of Georg Jensen, Ulrik Garde Due, on board for the first time. More names to follow.

MyFashionWeek
Considering the very short period MyFashionWeek has been up and running the feedback has been over all expectations and the initiative has rapidly became a big success. For the upcoming fairs in August we are looking to dedicate even more resources into this project in close collaboration with the other fairs of Copenhagen as the platform will be intensified and new add-ons introduced.

My Fashion Week is a travel-booking site that offers fashion professionals tailor-made travel & accomodation packages to Copenhagen, including free tickets to the fairs.

Bloggers spot
At Copenhagen Fashion Fairs we do not underestimate the value and power of bloggers. The phenomenon has been hyped for a long time and continues to gain recognition. Copenhagen Fashion Fairs invites bloggers from all over the world to visit the new Blog-Spot lounge at both Terminal-2 and CPH Vision where press and bloggers can hang out, network, exchange ideas and make use of the computers to blog directly from the fair and upload their latest reports and pictures.

Events
The event platform at Copenhagen Fashion Fairs is further developed in August with both local and international DJ's and live acts performing at the Heineken After Hour events at both CPH Vision & Terminal-2. As a fresh start each morning, Egekilde is on again with their morning treats of spring water ginger shots & croissants. The CPH Vision Party moves back to the spectacular Royal Danish Playhouse (Skuespillerhuset) and an exclusive pre-party is planned for the occasion.

Chip system & new stand system
Our newly launched scanning system will include more services and applications where exhibitors can scan the visitors at their stands and order food and additional services using the scan devices . Furthermore we are launching an entirely new stand system that will offer a better view and better highlight the architecture of the hall.

Promoting Copenhagen
The fairs of Copenhagen, in collaboration with Copenhagen Fashion Week and the trade association Dansk Fashion & Textile are joining forces to intensify the promotion and marketing of fashion week internationally as the M Fonden (Denmark's Marketing Fund) has allocated 5 million DKK to help support and promoteDanish fashion.

Initiatives like The world's longest catwalk are on the agenda - more info will follow.
