A shaded film view of fashion

Die hard fashionistas and emerging fashion filmmakers have the opportunity to submit their best fashion film feature or short around the theme of fashion, style or beauty to be screened at ‘A Shaded View on Fashion Film 2010’. Paris-based journalist Diane Pernet and 13 year old fashion blogger Tavi Gevinson have teamed up to find the next fashion filmmaker to be screened during he third edition of Paris’s annual film festival.

The submissions will by shortlisted by the public vote and Diane and Tavi will then select the winning filmmaker to have his/her film screened as part of the next edition of ASVOFF which will then travel around to select cities across the glob. Entries will be submitted and judged via talenthouse.com.

In addition to being the founder of ASVOFF, Diane Pernet is a talent scout for the Festival d’Hyeres in the South of France. Pernet has a degree in filmmaking and communications from Temple University and did additional studies at Parsons and FIT. Tavi Gevinson is a blogger for her fashion blog, Style Rookie, and her blog for Pop magazine.
