Although model turned designer Alexa Chung is likely to have her hands full working in her own eponymous fashion label, it did not deter her from joining up with Marks & Spencer for another capsule collection.

Following on from the success of the first ’Archive by Alexa’ collection for M&S comes a second winter collection, which is also based on the archives of the British department store group.

"For this second collection I wanted to focus on a more luxe evening wear vibe to lead us into the winter party season and was thrilled to once again discover an abundance of inspiration within the Marks & Spencer archive,” said Chung in a statement.

The second collection consists of 27 women’s wear pieces, including outerwear and is said to complete the Archive by Alexa series. The capsule collection was designed and curated by Chung, together with M&S in-house design team, who used the department stores extensive archives in Leeds which contains over 70,000 items, for inspiration.

In honour of M&S's first store, which opened its doors in Leeds in 1884, the Winter Collection items are all named after streets in Leeds. The Winter Archive by Alexa is slated to launch in M&S stores and online November 1, 2016.
