AllSaints to launch complete handbag range

AllSaints has developed more self-confidence, individuality and attitude since appointing Will Beedle as its creative director. However, after crafting leather jackets for a label which since has become synonymous with leather jackets, the designer felt it was time to take things one step further and introduce a complete handbag range.
The move comes not long after the label launched a capsule collection of leather handbags for Autumn/Winter 2014. The 48-piece collection is set to launch this July, with prices ranging from 128 pounds to 348 pounds. For the collection’s inspiration, the design team looked through the brand’s 21 year old archive of leather jackets and the four categories of handbags are said to have been named after the streets near AllSaints London headquarters.
All the new handbag styles are lighter than their predecessors, as the label aims to focus on the beauty of the leather used to craft the pieces and “not the hardware” said Beedle to WWD. AllSaints will also introduce the handbags in a palette of softer tones, in light greys, camel colours and rusts tones as Beedle appears to be moving the label away from tough and structured pieces and leaning towards a softer, more feminine look.
