In aid of children’s charity Jean for Genes, jewellery designer Allumer launched an exclusive range at Kabiri London. The collection features necklace designs with ‘XY’ engraved disk, and when spun reveals ‘XX’ that represents both the male and the female chromosomes. The second design is a jean rivet of the charity’s logo, with a gold disc set with a small Tanzanite stone. Both necklace designs are available in 9k yellow or white gold.

Jeans for Genes is a one-day fundraising event held on 2nd October 2009, which invites millions of people to wear jeans for the Day and to make a donation. The money raised on Jeans for Genes Day 2009 will be distributed to ten different charities working with children and families affected by genetic conditions. A donation of £10 from each sale of the necklaces will be donated to Jeans For Genes.
