Antonio Berardi collaborates with Crystallized

This year’s Paris Fashion Week was dazzled by Antonio Berardi creations made with Swarovski Elements. The precision-cut crystals gave the designs by the Italian-British designer a sophisticated shimmer. Berardi added a twist of luxe to his signature style of short, sexy hems and sculpted lines with swathes of fur and sparkling Swarovski Elements. Chunky, geometric-shaped crystals and soft, figure-hugging woolens made the rock’n’roll chic collection.

“Luxurious and empowering, the delicacy of Crystallized TM – Swarovski Elements brings an extra dimension to my collection,” says Berardi. On cashmere knitted shift dress that twinkles around the shoulders and neckline, he comments: “It took 1,450 metres of Crystal Yarn to realise this design, which glistens as if covered in early morning dew.”

Crystallized Swarovski Elements is the product brand for loose cut crystals manufactured by Swarovski. These elements are available in various colours, effects, shapes and sizes. Swarovski, with some 23,900 employees and a presence in more than 120 countries, registered a turnover in 2008 of € 2.52 billion.
