Athletic brands Nike and Adidas were the most popular brands in 2015, according to user searches across Polyvore, toppling fast-fashion retailers Topshop, H&M and Forever 21 who topped the social-commerce website ranking last year.

The top five most popular brands searched for this year on Polyvore were rounded out by Givenchy, Fendi and Converse.

In the 2014 Year in Review fast-fashion retailers was dominated, taking nine of the 10 most popular brands, this year the only one to make the cut in the ‘Most Liked Brands’ category was Zara, coming in at number 10.

It seems 2015 for Polyvore’s young millennials was all about athletic wear and luxury designer brands, the remainder of the top 10 searched for brands were Vans, Chanel, Christian Louboutin and Valentino.

Topshop, which took the number-one spot in 2014, could only make 35th place this year, while H&M, last year’s number two dropped down to 27th.

The fashion site also stated that its community was obsessed with channelling its inner Carrie Bradshaw this year with tulle skirts coming in as the most sought-after style, closely followed by gladiator sandals and denim dresses. The top 10 fashion obsessions of 2015 also included athleisure staples including midi skirts, high neck swimwear, and crop tops.
