Band of Outsiders recently has made moves to alter its brand a bit with a new team. The Los Angeles-based brand has tapped the talents of brand director Daniel Hettman and designer Angelo Van Mol.
The two will help the brand’s emphasis on menswear this fall. The brand is also working towards bringing back its California-influenced aesthetic with the new team. “As we were still finding our way with the DNA of the brand, we preferred to wait to get the tone absolutely right,” said Antony Verbaeys, managing director of the brand’s CLCC SA, as reported by WWD. There’s not much available information on exactly how the new line will look, other than bringing back a West Coast feel. “The West Coast vibe is an essential element of our brand’s character and positioning,” he told the publication.
The brand will also focus on social media branding for the upcoming year. During fashion weeks specifically, it seems that Band of Outsiders will be taking advantage of social media by implementing a new marketing plan, although no specifics have been confirmed.
The company’s new branding could potentially prove successful, as it emphasizes California culture in its company. As the new team continues to reflect that, it may be a better strategic move for the brand. Band of Outsiders currently is sold in over 330 stores worldwide and has approximately 16 employees according to LinkedIn.
