British lifestyle brand Barbour is celebrating summertime this year with a limited edition give away to its most engaging social media followers around the world.
For its new give away, Barbour has developed the ‘Rather Handy Picnic Rug’ from its iconic durable wax cotton fabric, which has a multitude of uses and can be used as a standard picnic rug, a hooded poncho, a dog towel and even a wine cooler.
“We all know how unpredictable the weather can be during the summertime, so being a British brand known for our relentless love of the great outdoors, we thought we’d celebrate the fact that we’ll be out enjoying the summer, rain or shine by creating the multi-functional Rather Handy Picnic Rug,” commented Sophie Bolland, Global digital campaigns manager at Barbour.
Barbour has created 250 rugs for its give away, which is currently featured across the brand’s global social media channels for the next three weeks, running from June 15 to July 5. In order to be eligible for the give away, users have to follow any of Barbour’s social media channel’s and share how they would make the best use of the summer with the hashtag #BarbourPicnicRug.
“Our fans love sharing pictures and stories of what they get up to during the summer on social media, whether they’re wearing Barbour at a festival or on a country walk, so we thought we should reward some of out most engaged social media users with this exclusive, limited edition piece for them to enjoy on these occasions over the next couple of months,” concluded Bolland.
