Beatrix Ong signs with Jaeger owner

Beatrix Ong, the luxury niche footwear brand, will be quickening its pace to worldwide expansion after signing a deal with Harold Tillman, owner of Jaeger and chairman of the British Fashion Council. Tillman is working alongside Ong and Belinda Earl (Jaeger's group chief executive, on Monday stated the trio is "joining forces to build the brand into a global luxury accessories brand." Earl and Tillman did not disclose the financial terms of the deal. "I feel strongly about supporting the incredible fashion talent we have in Britain," said Tillman. "Beatrix has been recognized as one of the world's top 10 up-and-coming shoe designers but is at a crucial growth stage. It is our intention to help her cement this deserved position and guide her global growth, to become one of the U.K.'s leading luxury brands."
Ong, who trained with Jimmy Choo, opened her first boutique in London's Primrose Hill in 2004. Last year, she relocated to a store in Burlington Arcade in Mayfair.
