BFC reveals its MA Scholarships Recipients for 2015

The recipients for the British Fashion Council's MA scholarship for this year have been announced. Three students, who have already excelled in their BA degrees, were selected by the BFC Education Foundation, which aims to support "exceptionally" talented students studying BA and MA fashion courses in the UK.
Benny Andaloo, from Central Saint Martins, Gabriella Sardena from Manchester School of Art and Shuan Harris from Kingston will undertaking the MA Fashion Menswear course at CSM, MA Fashion Textiles at CSM and MA Fashion Womenswear at the Royal College of Art, respectively. Applications for the scholarship were open to graduating students from member colleges of the BFC’s Colleges Council.
Eleven shortlisted applicants were interviewed by a judging panel which consisted of Aitor Throup, former BFC scholarship recipient; Clara Mercer, BFC Head of Communications; Janet Lance Hughes, artist and former Head of Fashion Design and Communication at CSM; and Sarah Mower MBE, American Vogue journalist and BFC Ambassador for Emerging Talent.
"The BFC have long been committed to supporting young talent from their earliest stages through its Education Foundation," commented Throup. "I was honoured to receive one of the scholarships for my own Masters degree at the Royal College of Art, and was equally honoured to be asked by Sarah Mower and the BFC to be on the panel to help select this year’s recipients."
