Oxfordshire-based designer outlet, Bicester Village, is to host its sixth British Designers’ Collective pop-up boutique showcasing collections from London Fashion Week favourites including Mary Katrantzou, Sophia Webster and Peter Pilotto.

The pop-up, aimed at promoting both established and emerging British designers, will also sell past collections from Roksanda, J.JS Lee, Nicholas Kirkwood, Holly Fulton, Preen, House of Holland and Jonathan Saunders when the boutique opens for six weeks starting on May 20.

This year the initiative is being curated by fashion consultant Yasmin Sewell, who has handpicked pieces for pop-up to showcase a “slice of British fashion history”, including ready-to-wear and accessories.

The store has been designed by interior designer Clare Ceprynski and features oversized tree roots covered with gold leaf, which has been designed to take shoppers on “an abstract visual journey whilst discovering their future collectibles”, according to the press release.

For the first time, the pop-up is also partnering with the Fig 2 initiative, which is a programme of 50 art exhibitions in 50 weeks, taking place at the Institute of Contemporary Arts studio in London throughout 2015. Work from four artists, Shezad Dawood, Annika Strom, Vesna Petresin and Deborah Coughlin will be on display, and there will be a performance tour bus that will run hourly from Modern Art Oxford gallery to Bicester Village.

The British Designers’ Collective launches on May 20, and runs for six weeks.
