Online fashion retailer Boohoo has launched its first kidswear line, with a collection made up of 70 percent girlswear and 30 percent boyswear.

Launching this week, the kidswear line offers “age appropriate fashion for kids” aged from 4 to 12, including some pieces that are mini variations of the adult collection.

“Launching childrenswear is a natural progression for us. We are an inclusive brand and we wanted to be able to offer our customers affordable fashion for their children,” said a spokesperson for Boohoo.

The BoohooKids collection, which includes slogan sweatshirts, coats, party dresses, smart shirt, and chinos, is being fronted by Scarlett Thomas, daughter of Coronation Street stars Ryan Thomas and Tina O’Brien.

Boohoo spokesperson added: “Ryan Thomas is a lifelong friend of the brand and so we were delighted to be able to make Scarlett Thomas the face of the girlswear collection. She looks beautiful in all the pieces.”

Boohoo will add new childrenswear styles daily with prices ranging from 3 pounds for a basic vest up to 28 pounds for a coat.

The news follows Boohoo's recent menswear, petite, tall and sportswear launches.
