Cartier and Choo

Tamara Mellon has proved once again what a good businesswoman she is. The president of Jimmy Choo has come out with a new coffee table book that gives new meaning to the term. The book features supermodels and celebrities posing naked, wearing only Cartier diamonds and Jimmy Choo heels. The "Four Inches" book is in aid of Elton John's AIDS foundation.

Last week, Mellon hosted a party to auction off the photographs in the book. A pair of Elle Macpherson photos, taken by Ellen von Unwerth, sold for $76,000, while a Kate Moss photo by Sam Taylor Wood sold for $57,000. Meanwhile, glamourgirl Paris Hilton's picture failed to sell. Rebecca Romijn, Rachel Hunter and Minnie Driver, who all three also posed for the book, were at the party to help drive the auction.

Mellon told WWD that she was inspired to publish the book because she was bored with attending countless black tie events that revealed sho much less, and because whe loves coffee table books. "I thought I might like to have my own book to add to my collection," she said.
