CFDA announces nominees and honourees for 2026 Fashion Awards

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has announced the nominees and honourees for the 2026 CFDA Fashion Awards, presented by Amazon Fashion, recognising leading American designers and creative figures across fashion, media and culture. The awards will take place November 2, 2026, at New York’s American Museum of Natural History, hosted by Keke Palmer.

The nominees for American Womenswear Designer of the Year are Catherine Holstein for Khaite, Michael Kors, Rachel Scott for Diotima, Tory Burch and Wes Gordon for Carolina Herrera. The American Menswear Designer of the Year nominees are Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne for Public School New York, Ralph Lauren, Thom Browne, Todd Snyder and Willy Chavarria.

In accessories, nominees include Ana Khouri, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen for The Row, Raul Lopez for Luar, Sophie Buhai and Stuart Vevers for Coach. The Google American Emerging Designer of the Year nominees include Colleen Allen, Emily Dawn Long, Julia Ferentinos for Juju Vera, Julian Louie for Aubero and Zane Li for Lii.

Among this year’s honourees, Tory Burch will receive the Positive Change Award, while photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin will receive the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award. Anthony Vaccarello will receive the International Designer of the Year Award for Saint Laurent, marking his decade at the French house.

Eva Chen, Linda Fargo and Susan Cianciolo will also receive awards recognising their contributions to fashion media, American fashion and sustainable creative practice.
