The famed red-sole luxury footwear label Christian Louboutin first appealed to women of all colour back in 2013, with the launch of its leg-lengthening heel collection called 'Les Nudes.' Now, nearly two years later the luxury brand is set to expand the collection offering once more with the addition of two new heel styles and a wider range of skin tones.
With shades ranging from "fair blush" to "rich chestnut" the designer behind the brand aims to more closely match women's skin tones from around the world by offering seven colours of nude. "A nude shoe can be dressy, it can be sexy, it can be nothing or it can be present," said Christian Louboutin. New styles in the nude collection include the Deepik and Dorissima, with the first being a peep-toe number with scalloped edges and the latter a more modern stiletto.
Although other areas of the fashion industry, such as lingerie label Nubian Skin and hosiery brand Bianca Miller London, offer a wide range of nude products. Christian Louboutin is one of the first luxury labels to offer skin coloured shoes for women of all skin tones. The new extended collection offering for 'Les Nudes' is set to launch this August. In order to celebrate the new colours and styles, as well as women of all skin tones, the label will also launch an online campaign under the hashtag #NudesForAll on all its social media platforms.
