London based Singaporean designer Ashley Isham is sparkling up the iconic Coke bottle. Following in the footsteps of fashion leaders Roberto Cavalli, Manolo Blahnik, Nathalie Rykiel, and Matthew Williamson, who also worked with Coca-Cola, Isham will collaborate with Coca-Cola Singapore to put his design on over 100,000 bottles and one million cans of Coca-Cola light for the Audi Fashion Festival 2009 to be held in Singapore from May 6 to 10, 2009.

Coca-Cola light is the official light sparkling beverage of the Singaporean fashion festival. Collectors and fans will be able to purchase the Ashley Isham-designed Coca-Cola Light when they go on sale island wide from April. The bottles will also be displayed at Isham’s Fullerton Hotel boutique.

On his first collaboration with Coca-Cola Isham commented: “I was speechless when Coca-Cola light approached me as this is a rare honour. It’s a novel canvas to work on, and creatively challenging as I was outside my comfort zone with this piece. But it was so much fun and I loved the opportunity to reinterpret an iconic image.”

Recognized for his signature draping and strong tailoring as well as being skilled in the art of creating pieces for pure spectacle and indulgence, Ashley Isham’s distinctive blend of high-octane glamour and contemporary styling has won him an army of followers devoted to his vision. Isham's dresses are worn by celebrities such as Christina Aguilera, Girls Aloud, Kylie Minogue, Dido and Mariah Carey, and now he has become the first Singaporean to have his creative talent applied to the packaging of world famous soft drink.
