Supermodel Coco Rocha has confirmed that she will be launching her debut fashion line, a 60-piece contemporary sportswear collection, which will be sold via her website, CocoRocha.com.

The sports-inspired collection entitled Co + Co by Coco Rocha is a joint venture project with Los Angeles-based company, Paragon Project, and her artist husband James Conran. The line will feature sportswear and tailored looks, as well as special designs that are geared at appealing to “working women”.

Coming spring 2016, the collection will range in price from 80 to 300 dollars, so to stay within an affordable price range for her social media followers. The supermodel currently has more than 1.2 million Twitter followers, and close to 500,000 fans on Facebook, as well as more than 1 million followers on Instagram. The first glimpse of her new collection on Instagram received close to 10,000 likes.

To accompany her debut collection will be a relaunch of her website into a “lifestyle network” featuring a web series focusing on fashion, technology, travel and parenting, as well as an e-commerce platform for Co + Co, by late January. The collection is also expected to be sold within US and international retailers, although no word on which ones.

Supermodel Coco Rocha to launch debut Co + Co collection

Rocha, who quickly became one of the most recognisable fashion models in the industry, has been a face of many brands including Chanel, Dior and Yves Saint Laurent, and she has embarked on plenty of collaborations including one with handbag brand Botkier and she even produced a capsule modern princess collection with HSN as part of a marketing collaboration with Disney for Cinderella, however, Co + Co by Coco Rocha marks her first namesake design label.

“I have always been interested in having my own clothing collection,” Rocha told WWD. “But sometimes models are not taken seriously in this field. We’re to pose in the clothing but we don’t’ necessarily have our own point of view. But Paragon knew from conversations on day one that I was going to be very hands-on.”

With regards to what we can expect from the 60-piece strong debut collection, Rocha describes Co + Co’s aesthetic as “clean and sophisticated” and adds that pieces will be made from scuba material and feature details including tape-sealed seams and digital prints.

In addition to designing, Rocha will also act as the face and ambassador for Co + Co.
