Contemporary collections join Ethical Pure

French label Sweet Blossom will be among the new contemporary brands on display at Ethical Pure, the additional edited section of Pure London. Sweet Blossom will bring a range of tops, dresses and tunics made from fine organic white cotton. Hosting a mix of fresh and returning designers, Ethical Pure will also present womenswear label Amana, award winner for Best Commercial Womenswear Brand at the RE:Fashion Awards. Amana's AW09 range consists of tailored coats from organic Melton wools, silk jersey dresses and structured silk cocktail dresses

"Our philosophy lies in using the finest organic and sustainable textiles and we're very exited about exhibiting at Ethical Pure and bringing the collection to a new audience of buyers", commented Erin Tabrar, managing partner of Amana.

Izzy Lane, also a RE:Fashion Award winner of New Designer of the Year, will be showcasing a collection of clothing that helps reused sheep. Other brands will include Nomads Clothing, odd, Swedish brand Britt-Inger., and returning label Komodo.

Ethical Pure's sponsor 'made' will be exhibiting jewellery collections designed by Pippa Small and Natalie Dissel as well as collaborations with celebrities such as Alexa Chung and Peaches Geldof. The collection was launched in 2004, helping many disadvantaged communities across East Africa. Other accessory and footwear brands which will be situated on the upper level include Artisan Life, Aura Que, Cocowai, El Naturalista, Kazuri, Pachacuti, Makki, Pelcor, Lotusfeet Accessories and Simple. Terra Plana, who recently opened a store in London's Westfield, will be brining a range of footwear using a variety of eco-friendly materials.

Lee Davies, the UK distributor for Terra Plana commented: "We are exhibiting as we now feel that ethical brands are on a par product wise with non ethical brands. Offering sexy, affordable and desirable products with ethical eco morals, retailers are now able to stock these products that sell on style but wont cost the earth."

Ethical Pure have teamed up with experts Ethical Fashion Forum and registered charity Environment Justice Foundation to ensure the best ethical brands and buyer advice are on offer at the show. They will both have a presence at Ethical Pure.
