Fans of Converse and Rei Kawakubo have something to rejoice about. Converse and Comme des Garcons will continue collaborating, having just revealed their latest collection, which is available at Dover Street Market and various other retail chains for 125 dollars. This will be the fourth collection from Converse and Comme des Garcons.

The collection will be part of the Play Comme des Garcons Collection. Play is Commes des Garcons' younger more affordable line famous for their heart with eyes logo designed by New York-based artist Filip Pagowski. It has slowly been appearing everywhere from the streets of NYC and the wardrobes of TV characters, like Kurt Hummel from Fox's just ended musical series Glee. Their heart logo has managed to wow the fashion crowd and slowly become a must have for many in the fashion scene.

The sneakers are just a part of that equation of course. Some who have been following Play Comme des Garcons from the beginning even have entire Comme des Garcons collections, stemming from the Converse sneakers, to t-shirts, cardigans, and polos. The collection has a very set list of pieces they make available every season, including white t-shirts with the Play heart logo, polos in several neutral colors, and v-neck cardigans and sweaters, also in several neutral colors like navy, black, and grey.

They will, of course, have offerings in other colors unique for the season, but, their bread and butter is in their neutral colored staples. Their current Converse collaboration, which was released on Friday, features the signature Chuck Taylor 70 style, done in both high-top and low-top "ox" silhouettes. This time, the heart logo is much larger, with the tip of the heart cut off by sneakers soles. The design is offered in both black and white canvas colors.

Converse and Comme des Garcons first partnered in 2009 to rave reviews. Their sneakers quickly became a hot commodity helping the public to become more familiar with their name. Kawakubo has certainly helped to put Comme des Garcons on the map, especially Play.
