Copenhagen Fashion Week street style SS27: pillbox hats, brooches and turquoise
Copenhagen Fashion Week is marking a milestone this season, celebrating its 20th anniversary. As with every season, the Danish capital transforms into a meeting place for the international fashion world and a source of street style inspiration. From understated Scandinavian looks to colourful ensembles, attendees at the spring/summer 2027 shows revealed which trends are set to dominate the streets.
Fifty shades of pink
Pink is colouring the streets during Copenhagen Fashion Week SS27. Notably, no single shade dominates. From bright neon and bubblegum pink to powdery pastel hues, everything coexists. The colour appears in complete monochrome looks, as well as a striking accent in accessories or shoes.
Brooches as an eye-catcher
A stroll through the streets of Copenhagen quickly reveals that brooches play a prominent role. Attendees pinned flowers; crocheted creations; and organic, ornamental grass-like shapes onto jumpers, jackets and dresses. The seemingly small accessory instantly adds character to even the most minimalist look.
Broderie anglaise
The openwork embroidery technique, broderie anglaise, appeared at Copenhagen Fashion Week SS27 on long skirts, airy tops and refined collar details. The fabric adds texture without feeling heavy and, thanks to its light character, fits perfectly into a summer wardrobe.
Pillbox hat: strong shape, soft styling
Headwear plays a striking role at Copenhagen Fashion Week, with the pillbox hat being a favourite. The classic hat is combined with a scarf tied under the chin or worn over the hat itself. From satin prints to delicate lace versions, the detail gives the retro shape a contemporary feel.
Turquoise takes over the streets
Alongside pink, turquoise also catches the eye in the street style show. The fresh blue-green hue appears in transparent fabrics, airy linen and cotton silhouettes. It is sometimes seen as a full look, and sometimes as a powerful colour accent among neutral tones.
Bags with a playful twist
Accessories are drawing plenty of attention this season, with bags in particular making a statement. From raffia designs in the shape of animals to pearl-embellished pieces and a bag with a football print, functionality goes hand in hand with a healthy dose of personality.
